Make-up used was from Bobbi Brown, Mac, Illamasqua and Make-up Forever. The feather false lashes were bought from Guru Make-up emporium in London.
I recently had the pleasure of working at the stunning Stoke Rochford hall in Grantham for a wedding. I love travelling and working as a make-up artist. Not only do I get to see lots of beautiful venues but I get to work with such lovely people too. I always love receiving my thank-you letters afterwards! The brief given for this wedding was glamorous, so I knew I could really go for it with the make-up. Bridy wanted "Hollywood inspired glamour" so [...]
I am really impressed with the new Bobbi Brown lip palette, it caters for all skin tones and has lots of lip colours and textures to choose from, (please see photo by Melbourne photography.) This was taken at The Habrough hotel. I am getting very busy for the end of this year and also nearly booked up for next year, so please contact me to check availability/if you would like to book!
Great blog post from Make-up artist Nikita Pere – (please read if you are considering scrimping on your make-up!)Tina Brocklebank
Wedding season is in full swing and this weekend is busy, busy. I am so lucky, I get to meet such lovely people and work in such beautiful venues too! This weekend I have had 3 weddings on. Last weekend I had the pleasure of working at The White Heather. Crystal has got married abroad and had her reception here, so I went to do her make-up for her. I had met Crystal about 5 years ago when she [...]
I had another very busy weekend last weekend - I also had the pleasure of doing 2 lovely ladies' special occasion make-ups for an evening wedding reception, as she had got married abroad. Kelly wanted a Kim Kardashian look so I knew I could really go for it with the make-up and contouring. I used lots of different products, including Make-up forever, Mac, Bobbi Brown, Louise Young, Tom Ford and Illamasqua, (see photo.) I also used some beautiful false [...]
At the moment, things are very busy - with weddings and make-up lessons. I also had the pleasure of meeting the lovely people behind Lily Lolo cosmetics this week, which is based in Hull...watch this space! Its also lovely when I get to see my work in a magazine. The June Lincolnshire Pride magazine is out, and I am proud to be mentioned in there from a lovely past bride of mine. (P111.) Emma Graham said "I could recommend every single supplier; they [...]
I had the pleasure last week, of doing some Bridal/wedding make-up training for a budding Make-up artist, Emma Knight. Emma came all the way from Suffolk to train with me and apparently has been a fan of my work for the past 2 years! Emma has trained with the fantastic Pixiwoo and wanted more of a specialised make-up training in the art of Bridal/wedding make-up. It was a full day! We started at 9.30 am and after discussing the [...]
Busy day today, writing for my August column for the Journal magazine. I have decided to write about mature ladies and make-up. I do lots of make-up lessons and I love being able to help mature ladies with looking their best. After being trained by Bobbi Brown I fully understood the method of how to make older ladies look amazing using the right tools and products. Its all about "making you look like you...but better". Sounds cheesy I know, but [...]
