2022/23 bookings.Tina Brocklebank
Hi there, I just wanted to touch in with you as since losing my Mum in July, understandably, I haven’t been feeling 100% so, whilst I have still been trying to work on my wedding bookings, to the best of my ability, and makeup lessons, sometimes it just hasn’t been possible, (despite working on the actual day she passed away).
I have tried to honour as many as I can, (I have managed to do 95% of my wedding bookings). It’s been tough, I won’t lie and it is still early days. It’s only been 3 months.
Since July I have had 16 weddings! I have 4 weddings left for this year.
I have a good support network, great family and 2/3 very good friends, (you really do find out who your friends are at times like these!) I also have 2 great furbabies, which I am also very grateful for! (oh, and yoga!!)
I know some of you have booked for makeup lessons and I have been doing one or two, here and there, but, I hope you can appreciate, I need to take a little time for me, to grieve and to get my mojo back. I do feel very exhausted and I know grieving can be a very tiring experience. I wanted to thank you all for being so kind and understanding to me during this very difficult time.
If you have booked in for a makeup lesson, please be assured that it will happen at some point, if not before the New Year then early next year.
If you would like to contact me to organise it and for us to mutually agree a good time for us both, then please do.
As you may know, I have been a Make-up artist for over 30 years and I have worked very hard. I love my work and my clients, however, I am not getting any younger and the early mornings, travelling, lugging heavy kit around and work load can take its toll and I feel it is time for me to cut down on the amount of weddings I take on and the amount of people I work with in those weddings. It can be very demanding and stressful and I feel the time is right for me to slow it down a bit.
I already have bookings for 2022 and 2023, which I am very grateful for and I shall be looking forward to meeting new clients. I still love my work but I just want to focus more on less.
I have worked with some amazing people over the years and recently and I am very grateful to each and every one of those people for choosing me as their Make-up artist and for giving me the opportunity to meet them and work with them.
This week I am starting my second online Art course with The Glasgow school of Art, I really did enjoy the first one and I can’t wait to get cracking again!
I will still be working from my makeup studio and there is limited availability for 2022 and 2023.
Here are just some of the wonderful weddings and clients I have worked with recently…
I will be still selling my Gift vouchers and Re-touch kits, which have been very popular!
Thank you for taking the time to read this and subscribing to my blog.
