Halloween make-up

I am so inspired by Sam and Nic Chapman of Pixiwoo fame - www.pixiwoo.com and I am addicted to their tutorials!  However, as I have an art background and was trained at the London C0llege of Fashion it is something that is in me and I LOVE anything that involves make-up and art, I do love my bridal work but my heart lies with Fashion/body painting/photographic make-up.

I absolutely love Halloween so it was a prime excuse to do something very creative on my beautiful daughter, Alisha.

First I primed the skin with a Mac primer, I then used Bobbi Brown Long-wear even finish foundation in Porcelain ensuring the base was really even. I then used the same shade in the foundation stick as less was not more with this look!  I used a Mac bright pink eyeshadow for the blush and highlighted with a Fardel irredescent powder eyeshadow in white. I then set to work on the eyes.
As the eyes are the focal point I left the eyebrows bare.  I used Charcoal by Bobbi Brown and then Black Ink gel liner by Bobbi Brown.  I blended well using Real Techniques brushes - www.realtechniques.com I had some false eyelashes left over from a previous shoot from Illamasqua so my daughter painted them with Black mascara, (as the dots were gold.) I then used the gel liner to paint on the cobwebs and highlighted dots with Make-up forever diamond powder.  I used a softer grey to contour the nose and above the cupids bow and then filled in the lips, it all took me around an hour and a half.  Watch this space for other projects!
