8os inspired makeup

80's inspired make-up by Tina Brocklebank Make-up artist and working at Stubton hall...

Work has been extremely busy lately as wedding season is in full swing and I have been busy re-stocking my make-up kit and I also did an 80's inspired shoot too, with Tracy Conway-Smith.  I always love using strong colours for photoshoots.  I used Make-up Forever, Maybelline, Illamasqua, Mac and Bobbi Brown.  They eyelashes were from Eldora and they look amazing don't they!

Recently I worked on a wedding with some fabulous ladies from Essex and the venue was the amazing Stubton hall, near Newark, it is definitely one of my favourite places to work...plus the lighting is fantastic for a make-up artist.

I have also introduced some amazing new false lashes into my make-up kit from Velour lashes, they last up to 25 times, look beautiful and don't harm your own lashes, yes they are a bit more expensive but so worth it! x

Make-up artist in Lincolnshire (Blog update) -

Well, I haven't wrote in my blog for quite a while! things have been very hectic lately! So, since my last post I have been very busy with make-up trials and make-up lessons in my make-up studio.  I have updated my make-up kit recently by purchasing a new wonderful Mamba brush wrap from  The Emj company (www.theemjcompany.com), a pencil roll and also a gloss roll - let me tell you - these products have revolutionized my work by making things SO much easier! I know can see exactly where  my brush/product is without rummaging around, it certainly saves a lot of time and effort!

I have also been extremely busy with weddings too, and I have had the pleasure of working with some lovely, inspirational people.  Its always such an honour to share someone's wedding morning with them.  I also had the pleasure of working in Nottingham recently with 3 beautiful ladies, (Mum and 2 daughters.)  They wanted a day make-up workshop, so I designed it especially around them for their requirements and needs.  I showed them different looks, products and techniques too.  The 2 daughters have quite a following - check out their channels on Youtube - talkbeckytalk or twinklelashes  I then designed their looks for them on my face charts, (see photo above.)

I have also been busy writing my column for the Journal magazine, and please feel free to e-mail me over any make-up related questions you may have, that you would like me to answer for you.  I really enjoy writing my column.

People are coming from as far away as Essex now to have make-up trials with me, and they stayed at the beautiful Healing Manor.  They are getting married at the stunning Stubton Hall, near Newark, (www.stubtonhall.co.uk )Its a perk of the job to get to travel around the UK and see some beautiful locations for weddings.

I am also loving working with mature ladies for make-up lessons - its very satisfying to help someone who has lost confidence and once they have their make-up applied they are back in the game! To quote on lady recently, "I feel like skipping home after having my make-up done by you, I feel fantastic!"  You can see why I love my job so much, and its great to help and empower other women.

I have a lot of make-up trials and lessons coming up, and wedding season is in full swing, with bookings being taken for 2015 and 2016.  I also have some photo shoots lined up for various projects, so watch this space!

I had the pleasure of working with a photographer in London recently, and I created a doll-inspired make-up for the shoot.

Thank-you for reading!xxx

I was honoured to get a tweet off Lisa Eldridge a few weeks ago, I am a huge fan of her work and I was very chuffed! (she loved my harlequin make-up that won a gold award recently in a photographic competition in London, see next blog post below.)

False eyelashes.

To say I am obsessed with false eyelashes would be an understatement.  I always like to encourage wearing false lashes, especially if its for a special occasion, even if someone doesn't wear them.  They simply enhance your eyes and make you look like you have fuller, longer lashes...not a bad thing!  There are so many brands to chose from nowadays and there are lots of different styles too, so it can be a bit of a minefield when choosing.

I have just written my March column for the Journal magazine, and in it I talk about the best way to apply false lashes - once you have practised a few times, you will be well away!

False eyelashes don't have to look like you are in TOWIE or unnatural...infact, the very opposite.  If applied and chosen correctly, false eyelashes will make your eyes look amazing...as long as you have the correct make-up too!

Theres lots of tips and advice in my column so give it a read, if you are thinking of trying some false lashes! (see below for photo of my false eyelash drawer!)

Lots of bookings coming in now for this year and also for 2015 too..there are a lot of organised people out there!x
