Make-up studio in Lincolnshire.

Aswell as providing a mobile make-up artist service, I am based at my own make-up studio in Lincolnshire.  This is where I do my make-up lessons/make-up trials.  My make-up kit consists of only the best products and tools- Bobbi Brown, MAC, Illamasqua, Make-up Forever, Stila, Cover FX, Becca, Real Techniques, Louise Young, Shu Uemura, etc, etc!! If you require false eyelashes, I prefer to use the full-strip type - Mac, Shu Uemura, Ardell and Eylure.  However, I do have individual false [...]

Halloween make-up by Tina Brocklebank

Halloween make-up

I am so inspired by Sam and Nic Chapman of Pixiwoo fame - www.pixiwoo.com and I am addicted to their tutorials!  However, as I have an art background and was trained at the London C0llege of Fashion it is something that is in me and I LOVE anything that involves make-up and art, I do love my bridal work but my heart lies with Fashion/body painting/photographic make-up. I absolutely love Halloween so it was a prime excuse to do something [...]

November – Journal article (Foundations), by Tina Brocklebank Make-up artist.

I am really enjoying writing my columns for the Journal magazine.  Laura Stuart-Cooke has breathed new life into this glossy, high-end Lincolnshire magazine and it is jam-packed full of great articles, including Charlotte Hays' regular columns too.  Charlotte is a Lincolnshire-based stylist and is set to launch new brand Stella&Alf with designer Paris Hodson.  The Stella&Alf capsule collection - which will be made of natural fabrics in a neutral colour palette - will be available to buy online from [...]

Becca shimmering skin perfector

Becca shimmering skin perfector

Becca shimmering skin perfector - I have been a huge fan of this wonder product for a very long time.  I have just purchased the new shade "Moonstone" and used to have "Opal."  As my skin is naturally fair I personally prefer to add warmth to my skin and I find that Opal is actually better for this, Moonstone is infact a mixture of Pearl and Opal.  I still love this product and love the packaging too, which comes [...]

Bobbi Brown - Long-wear even finish foundation

Bobbi Brown Long-wear even finish foundation.

Bobbi Brown Long-wear even finish foundations £30 (30 ml), - As you may know I am a HUGE Bobbi Brown fan! I have just recently updated my kit (again!) with these foundations.  I get through lots of bottles of foundation, and I do find that this foundation is the best as in ease of application, (you must prep the skin well and moisturise beforehand.)  texture of the product and shades, also how long it lasts, as it promises 12 [...]

Smokey eyes, 60’s inspired…

This was from a photoshoot which I did recently with the lovely Charlotte Hay from Stella and Alf.  We went for a grungy/60's inspired look.  For make-up I first applied a primer to keep the make-up on then added a vitamin enriched face base by Bobbi Brown.  I then applied their new Long-wear even finish foundation in Porcelain and concealed underneath the eye area, then set with some loose powder.  Next I defined the eyebrows using a Louise Young [...]

Ice-cream van shoot

I recently did a photo-shoot with the lovely Charlotte Hay who is a Fashion stylist and we wanted a really edgy-60's inspired look.  So I used Bobbi Brown foundation in Porcelain and then used lots of black eyeshadow mixed with vaseline, then added black gel liner and smudged really well to create a smokey eye.  I then used Porcelain concealer on the lips!  Photography by Ellis Wood.
